2004 – 2005 The Canada Council, Travel grant for a public presentation and workshop on interventions in conservation of heritage landscapes and neighbourhoods as contemporary culture and arts production in the Dubai, United Arab Emirates

2003 The Canada Council, Travel grant for lectures and charettes on public and outdoor public spaces in Lahore, Pakistan

1999 – 2000 The Canada Council, Mid-career grant in landscape architecture and public art with studies of public space in Venice, the Netherlands and Vancouver

1998 Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Arts to complete theoretical writings and compile graphics on historical, homoerotic space in Vancouver
