Lava fields north of Edziza Peak

The plains north of Edziza Peak can both bleak and sublime — in a matter of hours. We had our last base camp there and then headed north by north-west to Buckley Lake.

We were moving north to the Glacier when the snow started falling. We headed north but more much slowly.
